Melissa is the owner and instructor of Sweatilates, a boutique, home-based Pilates studio in Herndon, VA. Her teaching style is a blend of her comprehensive classical training with a fresh, contemporary approach. Her mission is to make Pilates accessible, effective, and fun—without losing the integrity of the method.

In addition to her Pilates training, Melissa holds certifications from Barre Above, TRX suspension training, and the Buff Bones Osteoporosis Exercise Method.

Welcome to Sweatilates, a boutique home-based Pilates studio located in the Fox Mill neighborhood of Herndon, VA. Our cozy, converted garage space is fully equipped with premium Balanced Body equipment, offering a private and personalized experience for every client. Whether you're here for 1:1 training or a small group class, you'll enjoy focused instruction in a quiet, supportive environment designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and train smarter.

Where is your studio located?

Sweatilates is a private home studio in Herndon, VA. The exact address and parking instructions will be shared in your booking confirmation.

How many people are in each class?

Group classes are capped at 4 people to ensure personalized attention and proper form on the apparatus.

I’m new to Pilates. Can I still join?

Absolutely! Beginners are welcome. If you're brand new to Pilates, a private intro session is recommended before joining group classes.

What should I wear
or bring?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear and grip socks (preferred but not required). Bring water—towels are provided.

what is your late arrival policy?

Clients will be considered a late cancel if they arrive more than 7 minutes late to class. This is to ensure client safety, and minimize disruption to the rest of the class.

What’s the difference between private and group sessions?

Private sessions (1:1 or 2:1) are fully customized to your goals and ideal for specific needs or injuries. Group classes follow a structured flow, but still offer modifications for each person.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Please cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the session.

Class pack holders will be charged a $15 late fee, and class credit returned, when cancellations are made after the 12 hour mark.
